Self catering in Loddon
If you’re looking for affordable self-catering accommodation in Loddon, that offers an amazing garden, ample living space and an ultra convenient location, then Moles Acre is for you.
Enjoy a unique perspective all year around with this large self-catering house nestled away in glorious countryside, yet with the convenience of being just 0.25 miles on foot to the centre of Loddon village. Similarly a five minute stroll to the River Chet, Moles Acre is brilliantly positioned for a day out on the Norfolk Broads.
Moles Acre offers generous living spaces, with the downstairs centred around a large open-plan dining, lounging and conservatory space. The conservatory, which opens out onto a large sun terrace does have bi-folding doors, should you wish to convert it into a dedicated room.
The spacious lounge has comfortable seating for the entire group, with a 50” flatscreen TV with DVD player. There is a games cupboard in the lounge and also the WiFi hub. For those not interested in the big screen, there’s a lovely bay window tucked around the corner with its own lamp and views out to the garden.
We have a generous, well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob, a double and single electric oven, one microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and ample cupboard space. You’ll find stacks of glasses, cutlery and crockery.
Off the kitchen there is a porch – this is where we keep things like bats and balls. This is immediately next to the downstairs bedroom and leads to an enclosed courtyard garden. There’s also a downstairs loo by the front door and coat cupboard. The hall is particularly spacious and includes a large local map on the wall to help you get your bearings.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Moles Acre sleeps 11 people in 5 bedrooms. The largest bedroom (well suited for a family) is downstairs, just off the kitchen. It also has a walk-in wet room specifically designed to accommodate wheelchairs. The taps on the basin are easy-levers and the loo can easy accommodate a frame.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms including the master. The master has a fantastic bay window with stunning panoramic views of the grazing marshes and church. Bring your binoculars if you're a fan of interesting birds!
The master bedroom has a spacious shower room with loo and large vanity unit below a window which looks out over the garden (don't worry – there's a blind!). Down the landing are two twins/doubles, one also with fine views of the marshes (and a basin in the room). We also have a single bedroom off the landing. At the top of the stairs is a shared bathroom with bath and shower overhead.
