Spoons Café

Almost a stone's throw from the Moles Acre front door, is the charming Spoons Café on Bridge Street. Offering a fabulous range of home made cakes and bakes, together with a very substantial light bites menu (including sandwiches, panini's and even breakfasts), Spoons Café is a great option on your visit to Loddon. 

They have room for groups and also provide outside catering.


Earsham Street Café

A 17th Century building with an incredible history, Earsham Street Café expertly marry freshly made cakes and scones, with a superb restaurant specials board. You'll also find special events, such as 6 course tasting evenings – check the website for details.

Sit outside all year around, in a beautifully crafted outside seating area. A must-visit for your trip into Bungay. If you only need an hour, you can often find parking immediately opposite.

Just up the road from Bungay, heading towards Norwich is Everyday's A Picnic.

Open 7 days a week, find a super range of picnic 'items' including gluten free and vegetarian options. Build your own picnic or take a seat inside or out for table service.

Also home to an eclectic range of handmade crafts and one-off items, Everyday's A Picnic is much more than just a cafe.


Green Pastures

Appearing in at least two categories in our Local Guides is the magnificent Green Pastures in Bergh Apton, just off the A146 half way between Loddon and Norwich.

Not just a multi-award winning, family run garden centre, Green Pastures also offers a fantastic farm shop, a superb café/restaurant and even a post office (open 7 days).

Find everything from freshly made cakes and bakes, to a comprehensive breakfast, light bites and lunch time menu. We can personally vouch for the jacket potato with chestnut mushrooms with Binham Blue cheese. Delicious!

If you're coming to Norfolk to cycle, then be sure to put In a Spin Bike Shop & Café on your route. Literally just up the road from Moles Acre in Loddon, in a Spin is perfectly located for rides into the Norfolk Broads. 

Offering a range of cakes and drinks, stop for a chat with owner, Simon, before continuing your journey. Simon offers bike servicing and bike fitting too.
